Miyamoto Musashi (1973)

Following the battle of Sekigahara, Takezo and his friend Matahachi find themselves on the losing side. Instead of the grand victory and glory Takezo had anticipated, he finds himself a hunted fugitive. The movie follows the adventures of Miyamoto Musashi (Takezo) as he wanders through Japan learning the ways of a samurai. He meets many masters of the sword and grows as a person.
